Understanding the Living Building Challenge

The Tampa Branch of the USGBC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter is proud to promote this timely program introducing the Living Building Challenge.

The Living Building Challenge is a philosophy, advocacy tool and certification program that addresses development at all scales.  Indeed, it is the built environment's most rigorous and ambitious performance standard.  This "happy hour" presentation will provide details concerning technical elements and philosophical considerations, as well as review models of projects that follow and adapt to better ecological solutions.  Its growing legion of supporters believe the Living Building Challenge generates truly transformative approaches to design and construction ... and this presentation and conversation will make you a believer.

Tracy Backus, LEED AP ID+C,
Teknion Director for Sustainable Programs, US Markets, is our featured presenter.

Understanding the Living Building Challenge is "Self-Report" for 1 hour GBCI credit.  It is also approved for 1 AIA Learning Unit under Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) or Sustainable Design.
