The GREEN APPLE DAY OF SERVICE initiative is powered by volunteers who participate in community-based service projects. The international day of service gives parents, teachers, students, companies and local organizations the opportunity to transform our schools into healthy, safe and productive learning environments.

BIG ROI!
Businesses that contribute project materials or make a substantial sponsorship donation receive the right to use the Green Apple mark to show their association with and support of the Green Apple initiative. The USGBC will shine a bright spotlight on sponsors via website, social media, activity blasts, press releases and, of course, at Colson Elementary School. Additionally, our project will receive national exposure through the USGBC.

THE TASK
Through our team of parents, students, teachers, volunteers and local organizations and companies, our Green Apple service project will install a butterfly and vegetable garden at Colson Elementary School that will serve as a teaching tool for students to learn more about sustainability and the built environment. The gardens will be incorporated into the school's science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) program to enhance the existing curriculum and provide a beautiful outdoor area for an active learning experience.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY
Please consider partnering with us by sponsoring some of the materials and resources needed to make this program a success for our children and community. Take a moment to look through our sponsorship packet, learn more about the gardens, and what we will offer you in return for your support.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
This is a FUN DAY that makes a big difference! Join the team and help drive the transformation of our schools into sustainable places to live and learn, work and play. Contact Travis Barnes (919-360-0193) for more information about joining our volunteer family.
