Please join the USGBC, Florida Gulf Coast, Southwest Florida Branch on Wednesday November 3, 2010 for their monthly meeting.  The program will be a tour of the Florida Gulf Coast University Solar Fields.  The presenter, Dell Jones, will begin the tour at the FGCU Welcome Center by providing a brief history of the Solar Field followed by a walking tour of the Solar Field. There will also be an overview of the cost savings realized from the implementation of the solar field.  

Mr. Jones is the Vice President of Renewable Project Development for Regenesis Power.  His current work includes development and management of renewable energy projects.  Current projects include a 10 MW solar field in Florida, and 85 MW solar water heating project in Lakeland, Florida and solar thermal installations on 6,000 buildings for the State of Wisconsin. Dell has worked in both Utility and private industry during his 30 years in the solar business and has been involved in manufacturing, distribution, project management, project finance and development internationally.

Registration will start at 4:00 PM, the program will begin at 4:30 PM and last approximately one hour.  Cost is $5 for USGBC members and $10 for non-members.  (Please go to and click on Calendar of Events to register.
