Special USGBC Offering -- LEED Green Associate Exam-Prep Workshop!

In partnership with the University of South Florida Patel College of Global Sustainability, the USGBC Florida Gulf Coast Region is offering a three-session LEED GA exam-prep workshop on April 15, 22 and 29. 

This three-classes workshop will be a dynamic, interactive training course that provides guidance tied to the specifics of each LEED category. Whether seeking a better understanding of LEED or pursuing the LEED GA credential, this class is for you.

Each workshop session will be three hours. Attendees should have a basic grasp of the LEED Rating Systems and sustainable-building concepts, and ideally have begun studying for the exam. 

Schedule of workshops:

April 15 - Introduction of LEED Green Associate; what to except during the exam; review 1/3 of the material

April 22 - Review remaining 2/3 of the material

April 29 - Review and discussion of test Q&A 

Registration Includes:

  • Three 3-hour sessions of intense classroom training in an open, interactive environment.
  • Hard copy of full Study Guide for LEED Green Associate
  • Hard copy of 3 sets of 100 questions with detailed answers
  • Advance em ail communication of what to study, where to find it, study-time recommendations, "approved" brain-dump from previous exam takers, and a study methodology
  • Material covered in class will be distributed in hard-copy format and sent in pdf version

USF PCGS Students

A $75 stipend to offset registration cost. For more information, contact Kelly Gaskell.

Green Veterans

A $75 stipend for veterans that are not currently USF students. The first six (6) non-USF student veterans to contact Kelly Gaskell will be supported by USF Patel School with the $75 stipend. 


After completing this course, registrants will be able to:

  • Identify the key components of the LEED Rating System.
  • Discuss the overall LEED Certification process.
  • Describe the intents and associated concepts of each LEED credit category.
  • Recognize successful LEED strategies and measurements for achieving credit category goals.
  • Explain regulations, recognition, and incentives related to each credit category.
  • More confidently sit for the LEED GA exam and pass!
  • Use credentials on resume for job opportunity 


INSTRUCTOR -- Sarah Mason, LEED AP O+M

Sarah Mason worked as the Sustainability Assistant and Recycling Specialist for the City of Tampa. She has LEED experience in multiple buildings in Tampa, and has helped countless students grasp the principles of LEED and successfully prepare for the LEED GA exam.      


CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event a minimum attendance is not reached as determined solely by the USGBC Florida Chapter, the Chapter reserves the right to cancel these workshops up 48 hours in advance. Individuals affected by a cancelled workshop will be entitled to a full refund of their registration monies or a transfer of registration to another workshop offered by the USGBC Florida Chapter.
