The Green Futures Expo will be conducting several workshops that will run concurrently with the Expo Saturday. It is going to be a full day of fun and learning with five different workshops on Green Building and Sustainability. 2 of them offer CEU’s for GBCI, AIA, ASID, FBPE and Florida Registered Landscape Architects!

10:15 am to 11:15 - LEED Looks at Lighting

Good for GBCI CE *LEED Specific Credit*, AIA, ASID, FBPE and Florida Registered Landscape Architects

An overview of the Lighting and Energy related credits pertaining to LEED for New Construction and Major Renovation (LEED-NC). Credits and methods discussed include prerequisites EAc1, EAc5, IEQc6, IEQc8.1 & 8.2, SScB and IDC1.1.

3:15 pm to 4:15 - Architectural Lighting Controls

Good for GBCI CE AIA, ASID, FBPE and Florida Registered Landscape Architects

Overview of current code issues regarding controls for the States of Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. An introduction to the types of controls available such as occupancy sensors, photo-sensors, relay control panels, low voltage switches, astronomical time clocks, touch screen control panels, and building energy management systems. Learn about the benefits and energy savings in regards to lighting controls.
