Tampa House Authority's First Annual Community Earth Day Celebration

The Tampa Branch of the USGBC Florida Gulf Coast Region is proud to join a host of other outstanding supporters and sponsors of the 
Tampa Housing Authority's First Annual
Community Earth Day Celebration.  

Themed “Seeds for a Sustainable Tampa”, the event is open to the public and offers tours of the community's chiller plant, storm-water collection vault, solar panel system ... and much more.  

Every attendee will receive a packet of seeds to plant a flower garden of their own.

At the Earth Day event, the THA will be presented with the “Water Star Award” from the Southwest Florida Water Management District, recognizing water conservation and efficiency initiatives that lessen our dependency on the Florida Aquifer. 

Vendors include: MOSI, Florida Aquarium, TECO, Johnson Controls, Trane, Lowry Park Zoo, Bright Solar, Community Stepping Stone, Cardno, Recycling, Solar Source, Wind, Water & Energy Conservation, ENCORE and Tampa Housing Authority.
