The TBARTA 101 presentation is an overview of the organization, its mission, goals, and current transportation projects. Presenter Amy Ellis will also be provide an update on the Master Plan, answer your questions, and solicit feedback.

In 2009, the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA) developed a Regional Transportation Master Plan for Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota Counties. The plan outlines a long-term, 50-year vision for the region and was created in cooperation with the Florida Department of Transportation, the region's Metropolitan Planning Organizations, transit agencies and the public.


Amy Ellis is a former St. Petersburg Times reporter who has worked at TBARTA since August 2010 as their Director of Communications & Government Relations. Before that, she was a Public Information Officer for Pasco County and worked as a media relations consultant for private, public sector and non-profit clients since 2000. Ms. Ellis has won numerous awards for reporting, writing and design. A graduate of the University of Miami, Ms. Ellis has lived in the Tampa Bay area since 1995.
