Celebrate the recent LEED for Retail:

New Construction - Gold Certification for Dunkin' Donuts at their newest St. Pete store! Tour the building and site to learn all of the the principles, strategies and design features used to make the building efficient, responsible and healthy. The event will also cover some of the LEED-related documentation as it relates to the LEED for Retail certification to help other potential retailers get comfortable with LEED.

The event will include plenty of networking over coffee and pastries, a building tour led by the project's LEED Consultant and Commissioning Agent, and a discussion on green retail initiatives by Dunkin' Brands in the Tampa Bay area and nationally.

About LEED for Retail
The US Green Building Council's LEED for Retail certification is designed to guide and distinguish high-performance retail projects, including banks, restaurants, apparel, electronics, big box and everything in between. Features of the certification are similar to the LEED for New Construction & Major Renovations or the Commercial Interiors certifications.

About Dunkin' Donuts
In 2008, Dunkin’ Donuts opened its first “green” restaurant in St. Petersburg at 7595 4th Street North, which later achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification in 2010. More recently in early 2012, Dunkin’ Donuts opened its second “green” restaurant in St. Petersburg at 1046 4th Street North, which achieved LEED for Retail Gold Certification in 2012. Both restaurants are run by Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee Robert Aziz and his team.
