Join the Myakka River Branch of the USGBC on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 1:00PM – 2:30PM for a FREE presentation of the webinar titled “LEED and the Urban Heat Island Effect.”  This informative webinar will provide you with the tools to:

  • Understand the importance of the urban heat island (UHI) effect
  • Identify the LEED requirements related to reducing the UHI effect
  • Explore strategies useful in meeting LEED requirements related to urban heat islands
  • Compare regional differences in strategies used to meet LEED requirements and mitigate UHI effects
