Ben Sasse of Willis A. Smith Construction will present the steps their team took to achieve LEED Gold Certification on their new building in Lakewood Ranch. A tour of the building and reception will follow the presentation.

Few commercial buildings in the state have LEED certification, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. The program sets standards for sustainable, or green, construction for building designers.
The company is the first Florida-based construction management firm in the state to construct, own and occupy a LEED Gold building.
It is also the first privately owned LEED Gold building in the region; the first LEED Gold building in Lakewood Ranch; and the third LEED Gold building in Sarasota County, out of the six total LEED-certified facilities, along with the Twin Lakes Park Office Complex and the North Sarasota Public Library.

All that plus great food, drinks, networking opportunities and a chance to be PART OF THE SOLUTION.
